ATC Code of Practice

The Code is intended to encourage both the consistent and precise operation of engine testing and the consistent reporting of results

The ATC Code of Practice has been devised by representatives of member companies of the Technical Committee of Petroleum Additive Manufacturers in Europe (ATC).  Compliance with the Code is voluntary and is not restricted to ATC members.  The Code is intended to encourage both the consistent and precise operation of engine testing and the consistent reporting of results during the performance evaluation of automotive lubricant formulations.  The Code of Practice is updated regularly.

The Code of Practice forms part of EELQMS ( the European Engine Lubricant Quality Monitoring System).  More information about EELQMS can be found on the EELQMS website.  The other key components of EELQMS are the ATIEL Code of Practice and the ACEA sequences.
